李 白
LI Bai (701-762), Venus by courtesy name and Green Lotus and Exiled Immortal by literary name, an excellent romantic poet in the Tang dynasty, praised as “God of Poetry”. According to New book of Tang, Li descended from Emperor Xingsheng (Lord Martial Glare of Liang, Li Hao),and had the same ancestry with the royal family, the Lis. He was hearty, generous, and keen on drinking, composing poems and making friends.
